Quaid-i-Azam University Islamabad administration has lodged FIR against thirty seven protesting students and directed the police to arrest them as soon as possible.

According to the sources, a number of two thousand policemen would be deployed in university to remove the protesting students by force. Police teams have also constituted to arrest the nominated students within 24 hours.

However, the students have refused to put an end to the strike and announced to continue the protest even after actions against them.

Quadian Students Federation (QSF) that consists of Baloch, Sindhi, Punjab, Gilgit, Saraiki and Pashtoon Councils is on strike for the fulfillment of the demands.

The university has been shut down by the students since 4th of October. The students have put forward a list of thirteen demands to be fulfilled, but the university administration refused to accept some of the demands due to which the strike is continued for more than two weeks.

The demands include providing new buses, decreasing fee, increasing the quota for girls, improving internet system and restoration of the expelled and rusticated students.

According to the sources, the vice chancellor agreed to accept twelve of the thirteen demands except the restoration of expelled and rusticated students.

Dozens of students were expelled and rusticated from the university after the clash between Baloch and Sindhi students in the university in May.
