The Pakistani and Chinese engineers have completed Sixty percent work of Gwadar Free Zone’s first phase.

Deputy General Manager of Gwadar Free Zone Company Hu Yaozong said Chinese engineers with their Pakistani counterparts are busy in working round the clock to complete the project as soon as possible and the Gwadar Free Zone is expected to be completely operational by the end of this year.

He said the Free Zone not only plays a key role in the development of this region but also  benefits the Central Asian and the Middle East countries.

The Free Zone has a total land of 923 hectares and will complete in four phases. The Free Zone has been designed to explore and benefit from Balochistan’s rich fishery and mineral resources.
