Dr. Ghulam Jan, a professor at the University of Turbat (UoT), led an influential training program for the youths across Makran to build their technical aspects. The goal was to help them do well in school, work, and business. Observing him individually, guiding personal and professional growth, was a beautiful experience to quit dependency and becoming reliable and independent entrepreneurs.
The trainings were held in different colleges of Makran, including Girls Degree College Panjgur, Boys Degree College Turbat, and Girls Degree College Turbat. A healthy number of students joined in and were very excited to learn the new factors of development which included majorly their self-empowerment.
The program was supported by the Government of Balochistan and organized by Liaison Corporation (Pvt.) Limited. It taught the attendants important skills like, communication development while working with others, leading and managing things, starting your own business, Curriculum Vitae (CV) generation and development, and performing affectively in interviews.
Dr. Ghulam Jan taught some of the sessions himself. He also picked good teachers for the other parts. The students felt the training was helpful and made them feel more confident in doing well in the future, particularly, in the area of self-empowerment and self-reliability.
Dr. Ghulam’s hard work is inspiring youths in Makran to do great things and help their region grow too. It is always a collective, united and mutual understanding and work that helps us grow as a nation and do well for our own selves and the people at large. The training was a gentle reminder that Makran’s youths are supposed to do great things for the communal-cum-national interests of the people in Balochistan.
