Jam Kamal Alyani has stepped down as the Chief Minister of Balochistan after disgruntled members of Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) & opposition tabled a no-confidence motion against him in the provincial assembly.

The disgruntled members of BAP and opposition asked him to resign many times as they claimed to have majority of Balochistan Assembly members with them. However, Jam Kamal refused to step down saying that he had enough MPAs to continue as Chief Minister of Balochistan.

Most of Balochistan Assembly members belonging to Balochistan Awami Party showed no support to Jam Kamal, making him compelled to present his resignation.

Jam Kamal Alyani has submitted his resignation to Governor Balochistan, Syed Zahoor Ahmad Agha.
