Turbat is a city in southern Balochistan, Pakistan, and administrative centre of Kech District. Turbat was the historical capital city of the state of Makran. It is the second largest city in Balochistan province after Quetta and 38th largest city of Pakistan.

But still the situations of Turbat city are getting worsened day by day. Despite a number of checkposts_ that too very close_ yet the authorities seem hapless to maintain the law and order situations in the city. The peace of Turbat is totally disturbed for last couple of months in particular.

Sadly, a few days earlier in daylight a bomb was blasted in Turbat’s main bazaar. Due to the blast, one person was killed, several got injured.

This was not only an attack on Baloch, but on their long efforts they had made setting up their own business in the main market. Their only source of income got burnt into ashes. Who will compensate the poor Baloch who have faced most of the disastrous effects of the blast? It shows how helpless Baloch people are!

On the other hand, robbery has become a common practice in the city these days. Unfortunately, the robbers are armed and storming into the houses forcefully for stealing. They are also killing the innocent locals. Neither the lives not the properties of Baloch are safe in Turbat.

Only in this year, there happened a number of robberies on gunpoint in Turbat. The robbers robbed the common Baloch shopkeepers in daylight. Such cases have been reported in different areas of Turbat like Main bazaar Turbat, Satellite town, Absor, Jussak etc.

The heartbreaking incidents left a fear among the public of the city. They feel anytime they can become the victims of such robberies. This shows that Turbat police is not serious with these offenders who are destroying the peace and lives of people in the city. They are not being exposed and no action is being taken against such offenders.

We all know the failure of administration that despite knowing the real figures behind the robberies, they are tacit to the situations. We expect to see the culprits behind the bars with exemplary punishments in no time. Turbat ought to be a peaceful city to live in.
