Writing differs from person to person. Some people write to survive, some write to fame themselves. From the categories of writers, there is a group of writers who write to heal themselves. I am one such writer who proses to tease my pains with my pen.

I have had wished to be a writer as long as I recall back. This dream has given me strength to push through hard times I cannot even count by now. I still feel each pain that dropped me to a level in my writing career to know myself.

I just realized writing is my first love when I found it my partner in tears; of words and feelings all at once. Even before I loved reading, I always wanted to write.

Upon my entrance in the world of writing, I felt a great many other writers give advice of writing but beyond long-lasting love such as; write anyway, feeling bored then write, even if stuck in the story, no matter but write anyway.

What you write is utter shit when you are not passionate about writing. Writing is not an excuse of words, but their fluent combination to a beautiful story.

There is always a backside force which affects how your writing sounds to others. Write it anyway, to me, is just a waste of time and energy.

Writing is a practice which gets better and better. It is writing the first draft and checking it time and again for days. You have to cut and rewrite for a many times for one story to be attractive and meaningful. You have to sound accordingly. Your writing dialogue gets to the best when you edit your write-up after every read. Because you feel what you have been missing when you give more time to it.

When it comes to my writing, I feel I am blessed to have mentors like my elder sister, Shereen Manzoor. She has been more a mentor than a sister for me in writing. Her continuous struggle made me to think and write what I feel. And yes, the best lessons leave a thumbs up.

And in the end, you really just have to believe in yourself, she says.

Besides her, Munaj Gul Mohammad has been an influential figure to the sudden rise of my career. He was more a teacher for me. His timely motivation and suggestions have always been backside force for me to write. And he concludes, “Writing is a game of words. You are a winner if you art the skill of playing accordingly.”

And frankly, I have seen people for whom writing is a reason to breathe, love and live. It is a strength for them. Writing is a beautiful dream of pulchritudinous memories.

People say there are some pains nothing can heal, I believe writing can do that as well. It has ultimate powers to share the pains you have suffered the most from.

I wish all the best to the new writers who are passionate about writing. When you own writing, it gives you enormous power. I pray we never give up even if it takes the next life. Work hard and shine on the writers. Balochistan needs more real writers.
