Zara was a student of class 8. She was very intelligent and always topped in her class. Everyone praised her efforts. She kept working harder and harder.

Similarly, things were going very well in Zara’s life until the final examinations were announced. Zara took all the papers. But when the results came, she had failed in one subject. Because she had misjudged two very important long questions.

Her failure turned into deep depression for her. She got very tensed and stopped going to school.

Her parents got worried looking at the sudden change in her behavior. She even did not eat well thereafter.

After some days, one of her favorite teachers of school visited her at home to check where she had been lost for so many days. Getting to know her circumstances, he tried a lot to convince Zara to come back to school, but she did not listen to him.

He told her parents how good a student Zara was. He also suggested them to convince her and send her back to school. They replied with a negative response since Zara was not even listening to them.

Her teacher asked with great concern, “Is there anyone with whom Zara is so closed with?”

Zara’s mother replied, “Yes, she is very close with her grandmother. She even shares her all secrets with her.”

The very next day, Zara’s mother called her. Zara became very happy looking at her granny. She directly went and hugged her so tightly and tears kept tricking down from Zara’s eyes.

“Why are you crying, my doll? I have heard that you have left going to school and you do not eat food well these days, why so?” interrogated her grandmother with great care.

Zara narrated the whole story to her granny.

Her granny smiled and elaborated, “Dear Zara, failure is nothing but resemblance of success. Success does not mean how you perform well, but how many times you bounce up after falling down.”

“And remember dear Zara, there are many people who do fail, not because of lack of ability or intelligence but they miss pure desires of success, direction, dedication and discipline. So, do not get depressed and sad because life is full of opportunities. You should learn from your failure.”

Listening to her grandmother’s suggestions, she realized how big a mistake she had committed. She promised her granny that she would rejoin the school from the very next day and learn from her failure.

Her parents got very delighted looking back the motivated Zara. Her teacher was also pleased to see Zara again putting her pure efforts towards her education.

When the examinations arrived, Zara topped in the school and got a meddle from the principal of the school in the annual ceremony of the school. Zara again recovered her lost place. She proved failure is always a resemblance to success in either way.

So, with this short story, I would like to convey a message to all kids that not to be depressed because of failure. Because failure is success if we learn from it. So, make failure your strength instead of depression and worrisome.
