Baloch Students Action Committee (BSAC) staged protests in front of Quetta, Kuzdar, Uthal and Dera Ghazi Khan press clubs over the police brutality against the peaceful Baloch students who were protesting for the last twenty days for the restoration of expelled students in Quaid i Azam University Islamabad.

Addressing the protesters in front of Press Club Quetta, Chairman Baloch Students Action Committee, Rasheed Karim Baloch strongly condemned crackdown against peaceful Baloch and Pashtun protesters in QAU.

Chairman BSAC said the Baloch along with other students were on strike against the university administration for fulfillment of their legal demands and after the two weeks of strike, other student councils called off strike, but Baloch students continued their peaceful strike for the restoration of expelled Baloch students who were brutally treated by the police and university administration.

 

He said during the crackdown dozens of Baloch and Pashtun students became injured and more than sixty were detained who are still in police custody.

The protesters urged the authorities to release the arrested students as soon as possible otherwise they would expand the level of agitation and stage protests across Balochistan.

Action Committee also urged Balochistan government to pass a resolution in provincial assembly for the restoration of expelled Baloch students.
