At least three security personnel including a Lieutenant Colonel were killed and three others injured when their convey came under attack in Washuk district of Balochistan.
According to the security sources the armed men attacked the convey in Shengir area of Washuk, leaving three security personnel including a Lieutenant Colonel dead and three others wounded.
Lieutenant Colonel Aamir Waqar, Maqsood and Irfan were killed as a result of the attack while Shahjiullah, Sauood and Atta ur Rehman received injuries.
The dead and injured security personnel were immediately shifted to the nearby civil hospital.
The armed men successfully fled the scene while the security forces reached the spot and sealed the entry and exit points of the area.
A search operation has been started in the area.
