The Office of Research, Innovation and Commercializan UoT conducts workshop at UOT-Panjgur Campus

A Two Days Training Workshop on Research Projects’ Design/Execution/Methodology took place on 3rd & 4th July 2021 at University of Turbat (Panjgur Campus), organized by ORIC UOT. The worthy Vice Chancellor UoT Prof. Dr. Jan Mohammed Baloch inaugurated the event and expressed his best wishes for the campus. He, furthermore, encouraged the campus staff and praised the efforts and commitment of the administration. Praiseworthy Chancellor expressed his keen interests for the campus.

Director ORIC UOT Dr. Ghulam Jan said, “ORIC has taken initiative to conduct a series of workshops on Projects’ Design/Execution/Methodology, Academic Writing, Science of Publication, Research Ethics, Quantitative Data Analysis Techniques, Qualitative Data Analysis Techniques. He said workshops will commence from 3rd and 4th July till October 2021 for all campuses and ORIC University of Turbat (UOT) has launched University of Turbat Research Fund (UOTRF).

The resource persons for the training workshop were Associate Professors Dr. Iqbal Channa (English) and Dr. Shahjan Shabir (BioTechnology) from BUITEMS, Quetta. The Faculty, administrative staff and UOT Panjgur Campus students attended the workshop.

The workshops for natural and social sciences were arranged separately. Dr. Liaqat Channa took the session for the social sciences while Dr. Shahjan Shabir trained the participants of natural sciences. On 3th July, they had introductory classes and discussed on different techniques and approaches of Qualitative, Quantitative and Mix-Method of research. On 2nd day of the workshop, they had some sort of practical work and also the resource persons introduced the attendees with different research softwares along with usages.

Eventually, Dr. Iftekhar Ahmed Baloch, Academic Incharge UOT-Panjgur Campus, and Aftab Aslam Baloch, Assistant Register, concluded the workshop with thanking remarks. Meanwhile, Mr. Nadir Aslam Baloch and Mr. Naveed Baloch played guitar to entertain the the audiences.
