Baloch Council Quaid i Azam University Islamabad announced to shutdown university from Monday till the restoration of expelled students.

Addressing a news conference in press club Islamabad, Chairman Baloch Council QAU Kamran Baloch said they would shutdown the university from Monday as university administration has refused to restore the expelled students.

He said Baloch students tried every legal procedures and are on a peaceful strike for the past twenty days, but the VC and ASA (Academic Staff Association) have refused to fulfill the demand.

Chairman Baloch Council also announced to quit the alliance of Quadian Students Federation (QSF) saying that QSF deceived Baloch students and called off the strike without the fulfillment of the demands.

After the news conference, Baloch students of all universities in Islamabad gathered outside Islamabad Press Club and recorded their protest against the VC and university administration.

They also conducted a peaceful walk and chanted slogans against Quaid i Azam university administration and demanded the restoration of expelled students.

A large number of rangers and police forces have reached university to take control of the situation and a crackdown against the protesting Baloch students is expected.
