One of the suspects that has been arrested in Mashal Khan lynching case said the university administration has provoked him to testify against Mashal Khan.

The arrested suspect Wajahat said in a written statement that the university management has called him in the office and asked him to spread the blasphemy allegations against Mashal Khan.

Wajahat said he was not aware of the conspiracy planned by the university administration. If I were aware of the conspiracy, I would not make sure my presence in the university that day, Wajad added.

He said the security in-charge of the university Bilal Baksh  had warned that if anyone took the side of Mashal Khan and his other comrades would be dealt harshly.

The suspect said that if he had not testified against Mashal Khan, the mob would not have attacked him.

Mashal Khan was inhumanly killed by university fellows last Thursday over blasphemy allegations which have been proved to be wrong.

Mashal Khan was studying Journalism from Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan. Around twenty two suspects have been arrested with connection to Mashal Khan’s case.
